We’ve got additional new music for you outside of this week’s R&B Season playlist update, which is great news for people who enjoy the rhythm and blues. We selected songs by Stormzy, Rihanna, and Lil Tjay, among others. Now, however, we have a young Nigerian-American musician making her HNHH debut today.
Yinka released her single “Two Weeks” on Friday (November 11). The diva sings about accepting a new love in the sensual and tempting melody. Of course, it happens to be one that envelops you and consumes you.
“Why do we fit so perfectly? / Irregular like puzzle pieces / But flawless when put together / Why would I lay with you when I want to leave?” she ponders early on in her latest release.
“As a female African artist, Yinka is breaking boundaries and urging others to live beyond expectations placed upon them and embrace their sexuality,” a press release notes of her beautiful work.
Despite the fact that she is still in her early stages, the “Someone Else” singer has already met and collaborated with other notable musicians. Adekunle Gold, a rising R&B vocalist, is one of them.
Yinka was born in Nigeria, although she is also from New York and Los Angeles. She grew up in the former and now lives in the latter, where she creates music that examines identity and challenges societal standards.
Above all, the African artist aspires to carve out her own niche in the market. Simultaneously, she hopes to inspire everybody who looks up to her by giving forth a message of female empowerment.

Why do we fit so perfectly?
Irregular like puzzle pieces
But flawless when put together
Why would I lay with you when I want to leave?
